The firm is seeking a seeking a full-time experienced Docket Clerk to become part of the Managing Attorney's Office. The Docket ClerkLegal Assistant will be expected to interact professionally with administrative staff and lawyers. This is a non-exempt position with a hybrid work schedule and reports to Counsel, Managing Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong client service ethic, the ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Entering data into the firm's docketing and calendaring system.Performing electronic court filings in federal, state and appellate courts.Monitoring cases and retrieving documents with the use of various online resources.Assisting with authentication of documents for use in foreign countries.Responding to inquiries about firm's past experience with experts and outside counsel.Assisting with maintenance of corporate diary.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Minimum 1-2 years of docket clerk or paralegallegal assistant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.Experience with Case Management System such as CourtAlert or MA3000.Familiarity with Westlaw andor Lexis Familiarity with CPLR and Fed. R. Civ. P. as pertinent to docketing and calendaring.Experience with document review.Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel.Data entry experience.Ability to learn and retain detailed information about court procedures and documentationStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines and the ability to work well under pressure.TO APPLY:A resume and cover letter are required to apply for this position.
