Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience is required. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required. Additionally, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for a controlled billet in accordance with DoD Instruction 5210.42 Nuclear Weapons Personnel Reliability Program (PRP). The Entry-Level Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer, based in our San Jose, CA facility, will be part of an innovative team that loves to translate the RF world into bits and the bits back into RF all with software. You will work effectively in multi-disciplined engineering teams where communication and innovation are key. What you will experience: Technologies that aren't just top-notch, they're often top-secret A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what's next Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as it's discovered What you bring to the table: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with emphasis in Digital Signal Processing, Communication Theory, Wireless Communications, or equivalent. Basic understanding of communication theory with the ability to quickly understand complex processing algorithms Basic understanding of signal processing algorithm coding implementation in one or more of MATLAB, X-Midas , C, C++, Python Basic understanding of software tools such as Integrated Development Environments (IDE) as well as version control and defect reporting tools Basic understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems Basic understanding of signal analysis and processing techniques Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and organizational skills Proven technical leadership skills - ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency Proven record of continued self-improvement What sets you apart: Master's Degree in relevant field of study Coursework in implementing signal processing algorithms on General Purpose Processors (GPPs) and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) Exposure to git One last thing: You must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
