Employment Type: Full time Shift: Evening Shift Description: Position Purpose Accurately completes the pre-registration process to reduce patient wait time, improve patient satisfaction and promote an efficient arrival/check in process. Helps to ensure that the patient flows through the scheduling and registration process as quickly as possible ensuring all registration and financial requirements are completed in a consistent manner. What you will do Responsible for collection of complete demographic, financial information and clinical orders(when applicable) Greet patients and check in patients into computer system and if patient is not pre-registered, completes the registration process Field incoming calls and keeps accurate records of appointments Collect, process and reconcile patient liabilities Act as a liaison for patients with questions regarding appointments, procedures outside of clinic, clinical flow and staff knowledge Minimum Qualifications High School or equivalent One to three (1-3) years in a health care office environment Medical terminology preferred Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills Position Highlights and Benefits Full time 40hours on Evenings-- shift differential applies Excellent benefits starting day 1 Ministry/Facility Information Saint Mary's Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit, acute care, community teaching hospital that has served Greater Waterbury since 1909.
