Pay Range: The base pay range for this position is $100,000.00-$130,000.00 Annual however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Athletic Medicine Company Statement: Pullman Regional is an innovative, patient-focused, multi-disciplinary based work environment where all members of the team contribute to the exceptional care of our patients and the community. Position Overview: The Psychologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, is responsible for psychological evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and referrals for Washington State University student-athletes. This position also assists with mental health promotion and education, as well as harm reduction programming. Required Education, Licensure, Certifications, & Experience: A doctoral degree in Psychology, or equivalent including completion of pre-doctoral internship. Doctorate in clinical psychology. Washington Licensure within l year to practice counseling/professional psychology. Minimum two (2) years of experience counseling intercollegiate student-athletes. A Day in the Life: Based on physician and staff referrals and student-athlete self-referrals provide assessment and treatment for student-athletes with a wide range of health problems, medical/somatic symptoms, and related mental health concerns. Serve as the primary mental health provider for crisis intervention and treatment. Supervise other behavioral health clinicians involved with student-athlete care. Closely coordinate care with members of the student-athlete's health care team (including team physicians, athletic trainers, registered dietitians, academic and student-athlete development staff). Facilitate, as needed, student-athlete access to appropriate professional health care providers on campus, as well as those within the surrounding communities. Develop and maintain open lines of communication and referral systems with the athletics staff, as well as University and community resources. Manage working relationships with student-athletes and staff in a confidential, professional manner. Work effectively with a diverse student-athlete population. Provide guidance and harm reduction strategies to student-athletes demonstrating behaviors that may have a negative impact on their health safety, well-being, academic success, and athletic performance. Serve as the chair of the Athletic Department's Mental Health Team. Serves as a member of the Athletic Department's Drug Free Team Workgroup. About You!
