Job Description: Purpose: The Product Development Engineer - Landscape role will give you the chance to develop, and support Landscape products. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be developing mechanical, electrical, heat management, and optical systems for new products, product improvements, and value engineering projects. Your work will directly give to the creation of outstanding products that will make a significant impact in the industry. The ideal candidate would reside in a commutable distance to our Solon, Ohio office. Responsibilities: Lead the Landscape product life-cycle portfolio (including Research and Development, NPI, Sustaining Engineering, TCP, and VAVE efforts. Implement projects from concept to launch through stage gate process Perform tasks directly or collaborate to ensure projects remains on schedule including prototyping, lab work, measurement, and testing. Participate in defining product specifications, design failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA), engineering and CAD reviews, product & process qualifications. Provide technical advice and assistance to peers, suppliers, and customers regarding material specifications, testing procedures, product quality, and adaption planning. Handle numerous projects concurrently. Education & Experience: Commutable distance to Solon, Ohio office Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Preferred) with 2+ years of engineering experience Experience in consumer-packaged goods, LED lighting product design ideal Proficient in Onshape, SolidWorks, or similar CAD package Self-starter and able to work under general project direction Excellent written and oral communication skills. Mandarin a plus. Ability to prioritize different projects in a joint Global environment In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods Ability to travel domestically and internationally ( Hiring Range: $62,300.00 - $97,900.00 Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
