Description Norwalk Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking is seeking a full-time*Physician Assistant Hospitalist *for Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT. We are located in suburban Fairfield County just 50 miles outside of New York City along the Connecticut shoreline. Work in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in busy hospital in a family friendly location with close proximity to NYC. Monday - Friday day shifts, 8 AM - 4:30 PM. Duties will include admitting, rounding, discharges and working with the physicians. You will have the opportunity to work independently but alongside the Physicians in Hospitalist Medicine. Our Network offers many opportunities to grow your own skills and expertise. Norwalk Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, is accredited as a Stroke Center and certified to provide Emergency Angioplasty for heart attack. Job Summary: Under the supervision of a physician, provides primary medical care to patients to assist in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.* Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school. CT State PA license, DEA/State of CT controlled substance. Certification by the National Commission on the certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). ACLS & BLS certification. Must maintain 50 CME's over two years. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. Two years prior PA Hospitalist or Internal Medicine experience preferred but new grads with Internal Medicine rotations will be consdiered. Willing to workMonday - Friday day shifts, 8 AM - 4:30 PM.
