PRODUCT ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule internal and external garage door testing Oversee all aspects of the garage door testing Assist lab technician as needed Check test reports Create test related drawings Submit drawings and related documents to governing bodies for approval Create Engineering Change Documents (ECN's) Provide technical support to Customers and Tech Team Participate in Monthly wind load meetings Skills: Good understanding of DASMA test standards and other related standards Strong problem-solving skills Knowledge of sectional and rolling steel garage doors Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good understanding of ISO 17025 (Lab Accreditation) Strong team player Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have knowledge of 2D drafting skills, preferably Solid Edge Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
