Provides direct and indirect nursing care, resident assessment, care planning, intervention and evaluation to meet resident needs. The LPN is responsible for the direction and supervision of nursing assistants and ensuring the provision of quality care and health services and compliance with professional nursing standards of practice and state and federal regulations. Ability to represent the corporation in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance; leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with staff and managers; good human relation skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and documentation skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; highly motivated, energetic and compassionate. Reliable work ethic; good attendance and punctuality. EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: Successful completion and graduation from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice Licensed Practical Nursing in Louisiana Must possess a current certification for Health Care Provider CPR Has at least one year of experience Long-term care experience and experience with residents in advanced stage dementia a plus Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; ability to lift and assist with resident transfers.
