Job Details Job Location Administration - New York, NY Position Type Full-Time Salary Range $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/year Description Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City's leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Purpose of Position: The Director of Engagement & Partnerships will work closely with the Executive Director and the Director of External Affairs and plays a critical role in managing partnerships between the organization and the surrounding communities and other important stakeholders particularly at the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center and Bernie Wohl Center locations through ongoing outreach and communication. This leader has oversight for the center operations and management of access to the centers. The Director of Engagement & Partnerships will also cultivate new relationships with identified partners and thereby expand Goddard Riverside's impact in the neighborhoods where the hub sites are located. Schedule/Hours: Schedule varies depending on commitments (nights and weekends will be required). Salary: $75,000- $85,000 Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate's number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account. Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties Serve as the Agency representative on a daily basis at the embedded community sites. Represent the Agency at key community tables such as Community Boards, Education Councils, Partnership Meetings, and tenant associations. Maintain a pulse on the neighborhoods where hub sites are located. Respond to constituent concerns in partnership with the Site Director and External Affairs Director. Work in partnership with stakeholders e.g. elected officials, governmental agencies, community residents, private partners, advisory councils, local police departments. Utilizing Agency supports, develop and ongoing communications plan and outreach strategy for keeping the community current or service and resources available at the hubs. Work in partnership with the Director of External Affairs to address government related matters. Address constituent concerns at the hub locations. Direct engagement with NYCHA location manager and resident tenant association leadership. Serve as liaison with individual programs to develop volunteer opportunities and support them to engage with volunteer groups. Manage volunteer-led community events such as our Children's Book Giveaway, Backpack Giveaways. 2. Program and Site Oversight Serve as site administrator for LSNC and The Bernie Wohl Center . Monitor site-based programs-each program has its own leadership e.g. pantry services, afterschool programs. Works with the Facility Manager to ensure quality systems In partnership with the Operations Division Qualifications/Educational Requirements Experience working in low-income communities. At least 2 years in a managerial capacity with supervision of employees or 2 years of site or partnership management Experience working with government agencies preferred. Experience working in public housing or within NYCHA developments (Preferred) Experience developing and overseeing budgets (Preferred). Ability to connect with and relate to community residents.
