Job Description - Sales Manager The Sales Manager is primarily responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all sales and promotional activities, meeting and exceeding company revenue goals and objectives. Must be an innovator, motivator, and energizer with a relentless pursuit to delight customers with full accountability for ownership and delivery to expectations. The Sales Manager must be willing to lead by example and through demonstration. S/he will be responsible for setting a sales strategy, building out a sales team, and leading this team to achieve communicated goals. The Sales Manager will have 2-3 direct reports (Sales Representatives) to grow the team up to 5 Sales Representatives in the next 2-3 years. Expectations/Responsibilities: Train, coach and lead the Sales Team, and work cross-functionally with other employees/departments to deliver profitable revenue growth: Grow the sales department revenue and profits. Take charge of defining sales staff hiring needs and team structure. Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and overall skill development of sales personnel. Improve and implement a sales training program, with best practices and sales coaching. Sales Team Leadership and a heavy focus on new sales: Lead and develop your team as a core contributor to the growth. Heavy emphasis on net new business by prospecting, hunting for new business opportunities by utilizing (Referrals, inbound leads, LinkedIn, warm/cold emails & phone calls, in-person visits, networking, etc.) Once closed, the Sales personnel continue to manage the relationship/account. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the business both strategically and operationally to establish and implement short-term and long-term strategies that drive business results while proactively anticipating changes and implications to the business. Create a systematic approach to identify and establish deep relationships with strategic business development partners including understanding their overall strategy, key priorities, organizational structure, customer value proposition, roadmaps, and go-to-market focus. Operate as a growth-oriented leader responsible for all project market analysis, forecasting, sales reporting, and collaborating on development opportunities. Identify potential clients, cultivate relationships, and develop opportunities for new business and new markets, as well as with established customers. Determine and troubleshoot order gaps with customers. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to team members and establish and create key performance indicators for the business development and marketing roles. Set proper expectations and maintain open communication with clients and vendors through the lifecycle of the business development and sales process. Engages and informs the executive management team of short & long-term risks to the business changes and trends in the market conditions and competitive market position of the organization. Compensation & Benefits Base = $100k but open to negotiate for the desired skillset. Annual bonus - will be discussed with VP of Finance to understand previous years and future targets, mid 5 figure range and up.
