MAU is hiring a Contingent Structural Analysis Engineer for our client in Indianapolis, IN. As a Contingent Structural Analysis Engineer, you will conduct system structural assessments throughout the product lifecycle, from new design concepts to in-service operations, and develop innovative solutions to address customer issues, ensuring mechanical integrity under static, transient, and dynamic loads. This is a contract, long-term assignment.Shift Information:First Shift - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMRequired Education and Experience:Associate's degree in engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, ORBachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years of related experience, ORMaster's degree in engineering, ORJDPhDGeneral Requirements:Experience in building and running models for static and dynamic structural analysisProficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, including Nastran, Ansys, Dyna3D, and NX internal codesBackground in experimental testing and data interpretation, particularly for vibrating structuresAbility to rapidly acquire knowledge in mechanical integrity topics, such as Whole Engine Modeling, rotor dynamics, and extreme event assessments (e.g., bird strike, fan blade off)Programming skills in Matlab, Python, Fortran, Java, C, and C++, with a strong interest in automating or scripting analysis tasksCapability to plan and coordinate work with other teams, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasksEssential Functions:Conduct system-level structural assessments, including whole engine modeling and staticdynamic analysisPlan and interpret experimental tests, correlating simulation results with experimental dataFoster collaboration across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and product support disciplinesPresent technical and business findings through reports and presentations to senior engineers, both internally and externallyEngage in technical reviews, Product Safety Reviews, Technical Life Reviews, and Customer ReviewsContribute actively to the continuous improvement of engineering methods and processesMAU does not offer any sponsorship assistance for this roleMAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
