Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for managing a designated territory within the Wilmington area and its surrounding regions. Your primary objective will be to develop and nurture new client relationships, identify business opportunities, and promote our services to potential clients. You will be supported by our dedicated office team, who will assist you in finding and preparing a predetermined list of companies within the territory. Responsibilities: Develop and grow the assigned territory by identifying and prospecting potential clients within warehouses, manufacturing plants, call centers, office buildings, and related industries. Conduct regular visits to prospect/client sites to understand their needs, present our services, and negotiate agreements. Collaborate with our office team to identify and provide a predetermined list of companies within the territory to approach. Work closely with the office team to develop customized solutions that align with prospect/client requirements. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and related activities within the territory. Analyze territory performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and sales reports to clients and management. Collaborate with the team to develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities in the company's computer and smartphone-based software systems. Requirements: Related experience in B2B outside sales, a territory management or business development role is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships effectively. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and negotiate agreements. Familiarity with warehouses, manufacturing, or related sectors is a plus. Proficiency in using computer/smartphone systems and other sales tools to track and manage client interactions. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
