The academic team at Cleary seeks a dynamic and academically-focused Student Records Coordinator, possessing a successful record of supporting and managing strong, vibrant, student-oriented, and compliance-orientated processes and reports that serve the University's student, faculty, and staff stakeholders with exceptional quality and empathy. Fulfilling Cleary's Mission (to "provide an intimate and inclusive, student-centered business education that instills the values of The Cleary Mindâ„¢ in our community"), the Student Records Coordinator works closely with key academic and operational leaders to support the success of Cleary's faculty and students, with student groups spanning traditional campus-based students, student athletes, and returning adult students across a variety of instructional modalities. The Student Records Coordinator is a member of the Registrar and academic teams, partnering with stakeholders to maintain the integrity of all academic records, policies, and processes to uphold the University's academic standards while supporting the Office of the Registrar. Among other duties, the Student Records Coordinator works collaboratively with students, admissions advisors, academic advisors, and other staff members throughout academics to provide seamless processing of student records. The Student Records Coordinator will be both detail- and process-oriented and will possess the skills necessary to manage and analyze a range of quantitative and qualitative information. This full-time position will be based at Cleary University's Livingston Campus in Howell, MI, and reports to the Assistant Provost for Academic Operations. The position is a team member of full-time employees and student workers in the Academic Records office. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. Responsibilities Conduct student services through in-person, telephone, and video conferencing engagement and communication to effectively guide and inform student populations. Process student registrations, adds, drops, withdrawals and incompletes to maintain complete and accurate student records in the Student Information System (SIS). Process faculty information relevant to course scheduling. Provide reports, records, transcripts, degree verifications, enrollment verifications, and information to students, other departments, and external partners. Provide support for the input and revision of programs and degree audits. Support the completion of student programs through the generation of diplomas and related materials. Support Cleary's Commencement ceremony through the coordination student, faculty, and leadership regalia orders and distribution. Utilize standard operating procedures and process flowcharts and collaborate with stakeholders across the university to document and improve processes. Provide backup support for other Office of the Registrar duties such as student registrations, National Student Clearinghouse reporting, VA certifications, and international student compliance. Attends University events as assigned. Serves on University committees as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications Associate's degree is required, with priority given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree. One to three years of experience working in the Office of the Registrar in an academic setting. Experience processing student records in higher education. Working knowledge of and experience with FERPA compliance. Required Skills Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all forms. Effective working cooperatively in a team environment. Experience with large-scale Student Information Systems (SIS), with priority given to candidates with Jenzabar/Sonis experience. Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other software programs for communicating, creating, and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
