Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/Office Clerk II Date Posted: 9/9/2024 Location: High School Closing Date: 09/23/2024 Location: High School - Main Office Hours Per Day: 7.50 (7:00 - 3:00) Work Year: 11 Months Per Year - Off during school breaks. Minimum Pay Rate: $19.00/Hour Classification: Competititve Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our administrative team as an Office Clerk II. The Office Clerk II will play a vital role in providing clerical and administrative support the Main Office at the High School, contributing to the efficient operation of the building. Key Responsibilities: Manage all Brockport High School Extra Class Accounts. Support Assistant Principal calendars and project management. Sort daily mail and distribute to appropriate staff. Support Building Use and Room Reservations at the high school. Support student discipline and communication. Support planning and organization of Brockport High School Awards Night. Fulfill requests and manage student parking permits. Assign lockers to students upon request. Support, manage and help plan annual Graduation Ceremony. Support and help manage planning and execution of Student Support Program held over school breaks. Support management and processes for all high school field trips. Civil Service : Those individuals classified as Office Clerk II OR reachable on the current Civil Service Office Clerk II list OR otherwise qualified by the rules of the Monroe County Civil Service Commission will be considered. You do not need to be on the Civil Service list or hold the title, but if you are the selected candidate then the position would be temporary. You must than take the next available exam for the title and be reachable on the list to be permanently appointed. Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER: Graduation with an Associate's degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours from a college or university; OR Two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience*; OR, An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion. Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students, staff and families. * Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Sales Clerk will not be considered appropriate experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications.
