Senior Tax Accountant About Us New Gig Solutions has partnered with a distinguished full-service accounting firm located in Marietta, GA, with over 20 years of expertise in delivering comprehensive accounting and tax solutions to a diverse clientele across all 50 states. Our client specializes in new business formation, accounting, tax, payroll, consulting, and human resources. Responsibilities Support client onboarding processes for all assigned engagements, ensuring adherence to defined procedures. Execute tasks related to accounts payable/receivable management, bookkeeping entries, monthly book closings, financial reporting, and analysis. Duties may also include payroll and special projects as assigned. Apply a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices, including preparing Depreciation Schedules, Sales Journals, Sales Tax Returns, and reconciling Payroll Records and Employment Tax Returns. Conduct detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments. Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins. Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable. Prepare and file Corporate and Individual Income Tax Returns, including annual 1099s and tax returns. Experience with tax preparation and research software Ultra Tax /Accounting SAP Research complex tax issues and identify viable solutions. Assist with research projects and the preparation of financial reports as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. CPA License preferred but not required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or tax . Experience with USGAAP is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software systems is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to conduct sophisticated analysis of complex data. High dedication to a career in accounting and tax . Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Excellent cross-group collaboration skills. Highly organized with multi-tasking abilities and comfort in ambiguous environments. Attention to detail and adherence to standard procedures.
