Join us in shaping the future of parking!The Spirit of the Position: We are seeking a Cloud Solution Engineer with strong interpersonal and technical skills to help support and enhance business processes, increase security and improve the efficiency of operations. This position is responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud-based systems for LAZ Parking using Microsoft Azure. This position resides in our Hartford, CT Headquarters for LAZ Parking and offers a hybrid schedule, 3 days in the Hartford office and 2 days from home.Principal Job Duties: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.When implementing new solutions follow change management procedures to include proper documentation and signoff of project.Collaborate with Director of Cybersecurity to ensure all solutions follow security best practices in aliment with company security frameworks.Work closely with the Application and Development team to design and implement solutions following security frameworks, be point of contact between IT Operations and Application Development Team for all things Azurecloud related.Design, architect, and implement Azure-based solutions that meet business needs while adhering to industry best practices and security standards and frameworks (SOC SSAE18, PCI-DSS level 1 v4.0, NIST, and OWASP).Provide technical guidance and recommendations on Azure services, features, and capabilities.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans following industry best practices and internal branding.Assist in the migration of on-premises workloads to Azure with a security mindset following industry standards and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure deployments, ensuring high availability and performance.Stay updated on the latest Azure services, features, and trends, security, and incorporate them into solution designs as appropriate.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to deliver successful solutions.Report to the team leader of Database and Financial Systems Administrators to integrate solution with Database team and provide cross training on Azure technologies.Requirements:Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Engineer with a strong focus on advanced cloud services to support software frontend projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Azure is required along with Amazon Web Services experience is a plus.Familiarity with modern build tools and workflows (Webpack, NPM, Bitbucket pipelinesGithub actions).Understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js.Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.EducationBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceExperienceMust have at least one of the following: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer ExpertPreferred experience: Azure Monitor, CICD Azure Pipeline, Azure Arc, Terraform on Azure, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer2+ years' experience as a Cloud Solution EngineerExperience with TypeScriptKnowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth)Experience with performance optimization techniquesFamiliarity with DevOps practices and CICD pipelinesPhysical Demands: - Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. - Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25lbs. - Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. - Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
