Cooper Levenson is seeking a receptionist. Overview: The Legal Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients and guests whether in-person or over the phone. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with excellent phone etiquette to provide exceptional customer service in a legal office setting. Responsibilities: Greets clients and visitors with a welcoming demeanor, directs them to the waiting area or scheduled conference room, and notifies appropriate parties of their arrival. Answers, screens, and forwards phone calls, on a multiline switchboard, in a courteous and professional manner. Takes clear and concise messages. Sends and responds to emails. Tracks and reports maintenance requests to building maintenance. Maintains a clean and organized reception desk. Performs administrative and clerical support tasks, including but not limited to: filing, printing, scanning, preparing letters, sending emails, preparing mailings, and other special projects, as assigned. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years prior experience as a legal receptionist. Familiarity with legal terminology and documents and prior experience as a legal secretary, helpful. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional in appearance and demeanor. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work performed. Must have a high level of confidence and be able to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work independently and handle complex situations as they arise. Proficient with computers (Microsoft office suite). Must be responsible, dependable, and punctual.
