Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for recording the company's financial data and maintaining accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, daily financial entries, and reconciliations. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Responsibilities: Performs various administrative functions including preparing and maintaining spreadsheets and various agreements, filing, copying, travel arrangements as necessary, processing and opening mail, ordering supplies, and other general office duties as needed. Creates invoices for review, sets up new accounts, and assist with customer registrations. Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. Assists with accounts receivable collections. Processes and enters accounts payable invoices with proper general ledger coding. Reconciles credit card accounts monthly, verifies transactions, codes transactions, and gathers receipts from authorized card users. Processes employee expense report in the system and review, code, and approve monthly employee expenses for reimbursement through payroll. Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Highly motivated self-starter with the desire to learn and grow Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional international teams. Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly. Experience using QuickBooks or Microsoft BC is highly desired. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of related experience, preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
