About the team: FIS is looking for a highly capable Director Development with an enthusiastic and pro-active approach to join the dynamic Banking Platform which is a premier processing platform that delivers a rich set of business capabilities for community banks to support their retail and commercial customers. Our team is friendly, fast-paced, and you will be working closely with Senior business stakeholders. What you will be doing: As the Director Development, you will lead a team of Software Developers and Quality Assurances teams working on latest technologies to create highly innovative products for FIS's Banking Platform. This role would drive the Modernization and Conversion initiatives on this platform scaling up and leading a team of 100+ associates from the Global Delivery Organization. Responsible for Scaling up the existing team and developing the SMEs, Delivery of high quality and secure product, great user experience while fostering innovations and ensuring a very high level of motivation in the team and the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. What you bring: Knowledge / Experience Strong knowledge of Mainframe & Java/J2EE technologies along with Core Baking domain. Rapidly ramping and scaling up the teams to address the growth within the business. Ensure that the best use of resources to meet goals is established and maintained. Drive continuous improvement within the team to achieve faster turn-around time from concept creation to market. Utilize Agile-Scrum (SAFe) processes to develop industry leading software. Good hands on knowledge of peer programming, test-driven development and other best practices to release high quality products. Ensure your team delivers exceptional customer service that exceeds customer expectations. Coach and mentor team and individuals in their professional growth objectives. Build an environment that attracts and retains top talent. Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Keep up to date in technologies for building application services and with evolving standards within FIS. Build awareness of latest trends in technology; look at ways and means of adopting these within the current platform. Skills & Competencies 15+ years of industry experience with 10+ years of experience in a product-based company on Core Banking domain. Significant Experience in Core Banking Conversions & Implementations. Significant experience of leading large software teams of 100 developers/QAs for 5 years or more. Strong hands-on exposure in JAVA/J2EE & Mainframe technology. Should be good at problem solving and debugging with good analytical skills Extensive software development/delivery experience & Previous experience using Safe/Agile practices and methodologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English), proactive communication, proven technical ability and demonstrable clarity of thought Ability to lead, direct and manage effectively Excellent stakeholder management skills, conflict management skills Extremely self-driven, motivated, entrepreneurship attitude and result driven Build a motivated and successful team and lead it towards common goals Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, with 15+ years of work experience. Should have domain experience with Core Banking Domain.
