Field Service Engineer Position Location: Chicago, IL Position Type: Direct Hire Position Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (Depending on Experience) + Bonuses Responsibilities: Installation, repair, and process engineering support of company automation equipment Field Installation of automation equipment throughout North America. Field Troubleshoot, Repair, Training, and Process support of automation equipment. Field Custom Modification & Retrofit of automation equipment. Customer Management and Engineering Level Technical Phone Support. Engineering Level data collection including written and oral reports. Comprehension of Electrical schematic, blueprint, and mechatronics drawings. Capability of working in both team and independent work environments with limited supervision. Strong verbal communication skills with both customer and other company technical depts. Knowledge of Windows and must be comfortable installing software. Flexibility to travel and perform job assignments at short notice. Strong Aptitude with current computing applications and networking processes. Flexibility to travel and perform job assignments at short notice locally, and with the U.S. Responsibilities: Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred 3+ years of experience in Field Service Engineering; Strong aptitude with electrical and mechanical diagnostics/repairs. Aptitude with modern PC applications & networking concepts. SMT experience is preferred. Must be willing to travel for the role 50-75% of the time US and Canada Strong communication skills both verbal and written are a must Knowledge of general office procedures and computer literacy are essential for this position. Clean driving record and valid driver's license is required The employee must be a team player who can act in a way that fosters harmony and cooperation within the company and with customers. Strong analytical skills are required.
