Midwest Loan Services (a division of University Bank) is looking for a Part-Time Tax Payment Research Specialist to join the team! General Job Summary The Tax Payment Research Specialist is responsible for issuing payments for all tax installments, processing open items and exceptions, monitoring delinquent taxes, reviewing daily reports from CoreLogic, and ensure all tax contracts are active. Research and resolve discrepancies when identified. Assist with escrow setup, waiver requests, and escrow analysis. Summary of Essential Job Functions Issue disbursements on all tax installments (electronic/hardcopy) Process open items report to identify pending installments due Research and resolve all taxes reported as exception or special handling, or identified by investors, customers, and/or CoreLogic tax service Monitor any delinquent taxes reported, working with investors to ensure taxes are paid current Process daily reports from CoreLogic to ensure accuracy of escrow records, vendor files, and tax contracts Obtain and provide legal descriptions to CoreLogic in a timely manner for all multi-parcel, high liability, and suspended loans Process weekly ANOP file with CoreLogic to ensure all loans have active tax contracts Monitor any property address changes to ensure we are receiving reporting on correct property and that CoreLogic is notified timely of any changes made after original contract ordered Process customer requests including establishing escrow, waiving escrow, and processing any applicable fee requirements Other Job Functions Monitor and processing incoming emails for escrow email box All other duties as assigned by management Working Environment Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor-allergens. Employee will work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments. Requirements Education, Training and Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a professional environment desired Previous mortgage banking experience desired Previous computer experience required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners Complete all assigned training in a timely manner Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression Excellent attention to detail Able to work diligently and independently Ability to manage and maintain confidential information Ability to diffuse and provide business orientated solutions for escalated issues/calls Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills Able to effectively problem solve Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 20 pounds Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk) May be exposed to extended periods of interaction with others (listening, talking, taking notes) Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard) **University Bank is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer**
