Power BI Developer and Trainer Budapest (or other European location) Staff Role Responsibilities: Your role as Power BI Developer & Trainer: This newly created role aims at accelerating manufacturing excellence to enable Performance Carbons ambitious growth agenda. The division is going through an impressive transformation and in this role, you would have the opportunity to join a fast paced, global team who is in the process of reinventing the way it operates. The business is expecting double-digit revenue growth over the next few years, with 80m being invested in new capacity for growth in the semiconductor market alone. Along with growth through acquisition, the business will provide an exciting environment in which to work with excellent opportunities for career enhancement. As Power BI Developer & Trainer you will work together with all of the big data users within the business to transform raw, often complex data into interactive dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights. Your role will cover data from Commercial, Operations and Finance from which you will lead the harmonization of PowerBI reports across the GBU. Besides this you form a team of PowerBI business champions which you will train to be independent in our self-service environment which you will also help to develop further. In this role you will be the contact person for PowerBI queries within the GBU. You will support and guide local initiatives and provide support from beginner to advanced The ideal candidate is passionate for data, enjoys creating visuals and is a teamplayer who loves to share his/her knowledge with our business users. You have extensive experience building PowerBI dashboards out of user stories. You report directly to the Global Business Intelligence Manager and work closely with Group IT and all of the local PowerBI keyusers. Excellent communication, management and social/teaching skills are the key characteristics of the preferred candidate. This is a remote/ home-based role but you need to be able to travel globally. What the role entails: Grow the PowerBI development: Unify and upscale PowerBI developments across the GBU. Drive process improvements for business users who desire custom content and lack technical resources. Audit existing Power BI efforts with a focus on improvement. Maintain and enhance existing dashboards based on feedback from the business users. Support the establishment of a long-term and short-term strategy to upskill the team and drive a strong technical capability towards a data-driven organization Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, and collaborate with stakeholders across different departments by building trusted partnerships and relationships. Manage workspaces, data refresh, dataflow creation, and the ongoing improvement of our data processing efficiency; including automation, where possible. Review and recommend high-value standard content for the business. Work alongside IT to perform data checks and reviews to ensure data quality/integrity from source to target. Maintain our self service BI tools and support the implementation of effective governance processes. Increase the level of PowerBI knowledge throughout the GBU: Champion a hybrid Service/Self-Service analytics model educating business users as you build solutions to help them. Foster a community of business users who use data as the cornerstone of their business process. Shape a knowledge sharing strategy that leverages best practices, scaling key learning, processes, and tools to multiply impact. Collaborate and communicate with peers including Development teams, Commercial Managers, Operations, Finance, and other business leaders. Deliver PowerBI training to business users. Gather and share training procedures, support materials and documentation for training curriculum internally. Build and mentor a team of highly skilled visualization experts. What you need to bring: 3 years professional Power BI experience. Expert-level knowledge of Power BI and its various features and components. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Understand complex business problems and opportunities. Experience with querying, transforming, and analyzing data. Understanding of ETL and data integration using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Alteryx and Power Query. Excellent Business Intelligence knowledge and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation and training skills. Ability to connect with our business users. Insatiable curiosity and love of learning. Occasional travel. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or a related field Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus.
