Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.Due to a global technology rollout project, we are looking to appoint a Production Planner to support our team for the implementation in Rochester, NY.Job DescriptionThis role is a 12 month contract with a salary range of $58,000 to $75,000 per annum.To oversee the downstream supply chain to deliver great customer service and operational excellence, by delivering effective strategic and tactical production planning methodology.Taking full ownership of the customer experience from order placement to the delivery of the products, on time.Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:Create infinite schedules to achieve customer on time delivery and maximise efficiencies within production. Responsible for raising the work orders and managing MRP messagesManages the work orders cycle daily through production, resolving issuesCreate master production plans, optimising machine efficiencies, resource availability and shift patternsManages all finished goods stocking policies, inventory levels and engineering change requestsOwnership of product lead times, providing customers with consistency, deliverable lead timesCo-Ordinate the SiOP process, analyse data, identifying changes in demand and supply. Taking ownership for the supply planning, ensuring forecasts can be achieved with the capacity availableCommunicate proposed resource and investment requirements, identifying any key risks to supplyOwn the product master list and life cycle phase, taking action for managing the product portfolio to deliver the customer requirements and minimise associated costsImplement visual queue management planning techniques and build a capacity flex plan with productionAccountable for Supply Chain metrics, performance, and root cause countermeasuresResponsible for all Supply Chain department costs, including OEE, factory efficiency, over time, subcontract costs, finished goods premium freight and external storageResponsible for the management of the product master data within the ERP system Lead the deployment of lean methodologyQualificationsEssential:Educated to degree level or with appropriate workplace experiencequalification Strong data analysis and ERP subject matter expertExperience with, and sound knowledge of manufacturing supply-chain, planning and Lean methodologyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, relationship management, with the ability to work collaborativelyAble to think strategically and translate the strategy into operational performanceExperience of leading change and delivering resultsUse of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power pointDesirable:APIC's certified desirable6 Sigma green belt trained andor lean equivalentAdditional InformationOur purpose is Keeping the World Flowing for Future Generations.For over sixty years, the world has relied on us to create the things that keep everything moving.
