The Lead File Transfer Engineer will work with the Data movement technology pillar to architect, engineer and support the products and solutions that service our Managed File Transfer and Fax operation. This position will provide strategic insight and execute improvements into the technology used to eliminate inefficiencies including process flow, surround technologies, monitoring of health of mission critical Managed File Transfer and Enterprise Faxing platforms, troubleshooting application and systems issues, assist in providing global 24x7 tech support, managing platform onboarding processes, reviewing technical hardware and software upgrades needed, and supporting annual BCPDR test events.Principle Responsibilities:Technical Application Management of vendor FTP softwareExperience deploying and managing servers, WIN, RHEL, FTP EnvironmentsInstallation, configuration, maintenance and managing upgrades.Performance monitoring and optimizationAttention to details and thoroughness with deployment.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Hardwaresoftware issuesAddressing network connectivityRecovering data from systems failuresAutomation and scriptingExperience with FTP software ( e.g., Sterling, Global Scape)Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, andor equivalent work experienceSeveral years of experience in data migration, proving a track record of successful data transfer projects.Strong Managed File Transfer architectural design experienceClear understandings on communication protocols likeClear understanding of network segmentation, LAN, VLAN, DMZExperience in disaster recovery high availably resiliency planning and executionStrong working knowledge of Networking and Infrastructure capabilities and interactions with Managed File Transfer ProcessesExperience with scripting and orchestration - Transact SQL PowerShellPythonExperience with configuring end to end setups installations, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting issuesStrong Financial services industry knowledgeExcellent written and communication skillsExperience working on Job scheduling tools like AutosysMust be able to communicate and effectively work with customers, clients, stakeholders, Internal line of business and IT teamsMust be able to convey both technical and non-technical concepts to wide audienceMust have strong sense of urgency and customer service focusProvide 247 Level 3 support for file transfer issues and ensure all business-critical files are transmitted within pre-defined SLA's
