INTERNAL POSTING BELLINGHAM PUBLIC SCHOOLS BELLINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS TITLE: SEL Team Members - 4 members at Stall Brook; 4 members at Di Pietro; 2 members at Memorial School (1 grade 4 and 1 grade 5) POSITION SUMMARY: Goal One: To develop and consistently implement sound, research-based instructional practices with all students at all times as measured through formal and informal observations. Goal Two: Increase student achievement to college and career proficiency standards by analyzing student data using consistent protocols and established timelines to determine a focus of instruction for each student. Goal Three: Promote student achievement by establishing a comprehensive collaborative learning environment focused on student instruction, professional dialog, and parent partnership. Overall goal for this work: Build our capacity to provide high-quality support services for all students, while building our students' engagement in SEL skill-building activities. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work collaboratively with the members of the school-based SEL Team on the following: 1. Implement SEL Curriculum 2. Support colleagues on implementing SEL Curriculum 3. Identify and promote PD opportunities featuring SEL content throughout the school 4. Support the implementation of school-wide assessments, including assisting with scoring and analyzing data 5. Attend and actively participate in building-based SEL meetings, up to 10 hours outside if the school day, and district-provided sel/PBIS professional development sessions QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Regular and/or special education Massachusetts certified teacher, school adjustment counselor, school psychologists, or equivalent professional staff 2. Able to attend SEL meetings at least monthly, outside of the school day SALARY: $1000 Stipend (payable 40% in November and 60% in May/June) REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent and Building Principal OUR MISSION: The Bellingham Public School District's enrollment is approximately 1,930 students and an organizational staff of 400 employees. The district is split into the following building grade levels: DiPietro Elementary (Preschool - Grade 3), Stall Brook Elementary (Preschool - Grade 3) Bellingham Memorial School (grades 4-7) and Bellingham High School (grades 8-12), and Keough Memorial Academy (grades 7-12) is our therapeutic day school for students with special needs.
