RESPONSIBILITIES Supervised practice at the work site or in the office in daily operations of construction including: Reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid Completing a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Senior Estimator Completing material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents May perform other duties as necessary or required. QUALIFICATIONS Pursuing an undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering or related field Industry experience with a General Contractor or in the construction field with the ability to understand project owner specifications, engineering drawings, project scheduling, and cost controls preferred Strong technology skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe/Bluebeam Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, planning and time management skills Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies Dependable, results-focused and ethical The ability to work independently as well as part of a team Involvement in community, student association &/or extracurricular activities preferred Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements is preferred The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment Successful completion of post-offer background check & drug screens Uses safety equipment as prescribed by company to ensure safety on jobsite As a safety sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by company In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens The salary range for this position is $ 22.00 /hr .
