This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a salary between 70-85K plus bonus, overtime and awesome benefits. If you're not interested, please pass along to your colleagues as we do pay referral fees.There are 2 positions availableJob Title: Litigation Legal AssistantLocation: DallasSalary: 70-85KOT eligible: YesWork Environment: 2 days remote per monthDegree Required: HIGHLY PREFERREDParking: Paid for by firmCandidates must have litigation experienceDuties and Responsibilities:Provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys.Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence, saving to the document management system; proofread to ensure accuracy and completeness.Proofreading and cite checking briefs.Filings in state and federal courts.Maintain document management databases.Prepare conflict of interest checks and open new client files.Prepare engagement letters and conflict waivers.Coordinate with Audit Committee to prepare audit responses for clients.Process expense reportsreimbursement requests.Assist assigned attorneys with CLE compliance and business development activities.Review, organize, and process client billing in a timely manner.Research and respond to requests for information from attorneys and clients.Enter attorney time; review and revise timesheets accurately.Manage and monitor calendaring of deadlines and key dates.Calendaring and interaction with clients and other contacts regarding meetings and scheduling.Coordinate business travel arrangements.Develop and organize electronic and physical files; maintain systems to promote organization and efficiency.Docketing case deadlines.Job Requirements:3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm is required.Prior litigation experience is required; the ideal candidate will have experience in federal court litigation.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
