AuditMate aims to make managing elevator contracts the easiest part of the job for property managers.QualificationsNYC DOB Inspector LicenseMust be knowledgeable in relevant NYC codes for elevators, escalators and all type of vertical transportation devices; Great supervisory and managerial skills and the ability to train other inspectorsExcellent communication skills, team player and problem-solving skillsKnowledge and use of computerDetail-orientedTen or more years in the actual assembly, installation, repair, maintenance, inspections or design of elevators; or as a maintenance elevator mechanic; mechanical repair, experience and 5 years supervisory experience or managerial trainingUp to date driver's licenseSeven years of full-time satisfactory experience working at a construction trade or working as an inspector of construction, hoists and rigging, plumbing, boilers, or elevators; at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or administrative capacity; orOne year of experience will be credited for each year of apprenticeship in the construction trades or building inspection up to a maximum of three years of the general experienceEducation towards a degree in architecture, architectural technology, construction management, engineering, engineering technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university will be credited on the basis of 30 credits for one year of experience, up to a maximum of four years of the general experienceOne year of experience will be credited for each year of formal training or education in a field of study relevant to the construction trades up to a maximum of two years of the general experienceNew York City Residency is not required for this positionBenefitsCompetitive Salary Full benefits401k MatchResponsibilities:We are currently seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Elevator Inspector. As an Elevator Inspector, you will play a critical role in conducting thorough inspections of elevators and related equipment to ensure compliance with all local and state regulationsConduct thorough inspections of elevators and related equipment in all buildings within the city to ensure compliance with local and state regulationsIdentify potential hazards and safety issues during elevator inspections and promptly report them to the appropriate authoritiesMaintain accurate records of all elevator inspections, repairs, and maintenance activitiesCommunicate and collaborate with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of any elevator-related issuesStay up-to-date with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards related to elevator safetyConduct investigations and follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with corrective actionsProvide guidance and assistance to building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders on elevator safety and compliance mattersAssist in the development and implementation of elevator safety policies and proceduresAttend training and professional development programs to stay current on industry advancements and best practicesCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide updates on inspection findings and recommendationsEnsure that all elevators have the necessary permits and licenses and assist in the process of obtaining themConduct random inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standardsMaintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders
