CCM Tax & Trust Administration is a commonly held affiliate of Carlson Capital Management, through which clients receive end-to-end tax return services. Tax colleagues who are part of the CCM team work collaboratively with advisory team members to provide clients with a fully integrated experience. Working with CCM and CCM Tax & Trust Administration is a unique experience. Unlike a typical CPA firm, our tax professionals serve clients within a defined range of core hours. While increases in workload naturally occur during peak tax seasons, our tax colleagues experience a more balanced, proactive work environment where they partner with advisors to assist clients with planning throughout the year. This full-time role provides critical support during the tax season, approximately January-April 2025. A reduced schedule beyond April could be considered for qualified candidates if desired by the candidate. Job Title Tax Support Specialist Summary Responsibilities for this role primarily include performing a broad scope of administrative and support tasks for the integrated tax management of a defined segment of the firm's client base. Essential Functions Sending and receiving mail, including preparing address lists and labels and opening and distributing mail. Fielding and routing phone calls from clients and colleagues. Organizing client tax files (paper and digital versions) and ensuring they include the most recent forms and reports. Processing tax organizers and filing via mail or e-file platforms. Logging information and tracking status changes using tax software. Scanning tax organizers into an electronic filing database. Processing invoice payments and routing for deposit. Preparing and processing client property tax refunds. Requirements Demonstrates a colleague-centric skill set, including excellent phone skills and strong oral and written skills. Holds to the highest standards for personal accountability-presenting a consistent, quality work product. Possesses a positive attitude and a passionate team orientation. Maintains the highest ethical and fiduciary standards of due care and concern for clients, colleagues, and the firm, including maintaining strict standards for confidentiality of all client information.
