Whether you are already a tax preparer or you want to become a Jackson Hewitt Tax Pro, our tax preparation courses offer expert training from the best in the business. Classes will be held at our Salem office (136 Canal St Salem, MA) on Monday and Wednesday and our Lowell office ( 480 Bridge St) Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting on September 9th, 2024 for approximately 12 weeks. Jobs will be available in all office locations after certification is completed. What you will learn: Filing Information & Requirements Dependents Filing Basics Employee Compensation Saver's Credit & Child Tax Credit Earned Income Tax Credit Interest & Dividends Retirement & Government Distributions Standard & Itemized Deductions Self-Employment Course graduates receive: Certificate of completion IRS continuing education hours 2 credits with the University of Phoenix® What you'll do here: As a Tax Preparer, you will be explaining, preparing, and completing accurate tax-related forms for clients, including multiyear, and potentially multistage returns. Complete E-filing, provide printed copies of returns for clients to review, sign and e-file these forms to IRS and state agencies. Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients. Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Answer client calls and calling clients when needed Answer tax related questions Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration. This position has access to and regularly works with information of a sensitive, highly confidential nature which requires a working knowledge of the business.
