The Tax Accountant works with various tax compliance, consulting and planning issues related to the organization and its subsidiaries (US and international) in the the preparation of ETS's tax returns. The incumbent works closely with the Tax Managers to prepare ETS's tax returns, accurately report all transactions from a compliance perspective, examine tax and data issues and periodically review transaction data for accuracy. Support sales tax, VAT, income and franchise tax compliance, accounting, research and planning Preparation of organization's tax returns Lead/coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual tax compliance reporting for ETS and ETS's subsidiaries with tax and accounting compliance teams Review corporate contracts for value added tax issues Research legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting income tax matters for federal planning projects Respond to tax inquiries from internal employees and departments Maintain a current tax calendar Assist in the preparation of the income tax provision and tax accruals Perform analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts Support tax initiatives and departmental projects Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function B.S. degree in Accounting required (tax emphasis preferred) CPA preferred 2+ years of experience at the corporate or public level High degree of analytical skills, creative thinking and independent judgement An understanding of the tax concepts needed to prepare the Federal and State fiduciary tax return Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft accounting package Experience with Vertex preferred.
