GENERAL PURPOSE Manage assigned accounts and identify new sales/business opportunities. Foster strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, respond to inquiries, handle and resolve issues, and ultimately achieve sales targets and revenue goals. Facilitate and participate in cross-sell opportunities, new account prospecting, and sales calls. Work with moderately complex territory/assigned accounts, products/services, or sales or account management processes. Apply good understanding of the company's products, product lines, and/or services; existing customers and potential customer landscape; consumers; the sales process; and industry trends. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as a primary point of contact for customers and address their inquiries and concerns promptly. Proactively provide information or respond to inquiries about accounts, products, and services or information concerning pricing, changes in service, discontinuance, shipping, etc. * Collaborate with colleagues and internal groups (operations, logistics, product development, marketing) as needed to solve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and sales pipelines * Utilize the various systems and processes such as the order process, Salesforce/Power BI, inventory management, logistics systems, supply/demand planning, etc. * Analyze customer accounts to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement * Present and promote products or services to customers effectively * Take action on account challenges and opportunities while effectively balancing the needs of DFA and the customer * Identify and recommend new sales opportunities within existing accounts. Initiate and close sales calls with customers, following department processes and expectations * Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals on existing and new products and/or services. Educate clients on the benefits and features of the products and/or services * Generate regular reports on sales performance and account status. Interpret sales reports to leverage DFA's position (e.g., ranking, ACV, market share, sales movement) * Participate in meetings with the sales team, marketing, and product/service development teams to align strategies and offerings * Under guidance, plan own territory or account approach and monitor resources * Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and customer needs * Deliver on assigned volume, profit, and administrative targets for the assigned accounts * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required * Heavy focus on Food Service Sales LOCATION This will be a remote role supporting Columbus, Dayton, and Chillicothe, OH area customers. Candidate will need to be located within the supported market.
