Position Type: Student Support Services/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 7/17/2024 Location: Hackensack Middle School Date Available: 09/09/2024 Closing Date: until filled Leave Replacement Speech Therapist HACKENSACK PUBLIC SCHOOLS SCHOOL YEAR Description: Leave Replacement Speech Therapist 9/9/24-11/29/24 Job Summary: Provide comprehensive services for students with speech and/or language disorders, following N.J.A.C. 6A:14 et seq., Develop and implement screening procedures to identify students who are in need of corrective speech, language, and/or hearing instruction; Observe students, conference with instructional staff, and implement various assessment techniques to make diagnostic evaluations; Participate in team conferences and communications with parents/guardians and students, and recommend intervention strategies for the Individual Education Plan (IEP); Monitor the implementation if IEPs and participate in the annual review process; Assist with referrals of students to agencies and resources in the community when appropriate; Provide regular evaluation of students receiving speech, language, and hearing specialized instruction to determine the effectiveness of services; Complete all records and reports in a timely manner, as required by law and regulation or requested by the Principal, Supervisor of the Child Study Team, or the Director of Special Services. Qualifications : Master's Degree New Jersey State Speech Language Specialist Certification Working Conditions: Middle School Salary: Per HBOE/HEA Agreement Application Process: Apply online via Frontline/AppliTrack.
