LHH is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Columbus, IN. You will focus on improving production quality, reduce defects, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $80,000-85,000 per year and includes comprehensive medical benefit plans, Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***JOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for achieving high levels of quality results while decreasing defectsCreate, maintain, and update an audit tracking system with coinciding audit scheduleInspect facilities periodically to identify problems and create weekly maintenanceremediation schedules so work can be allocatedInspect and test engineering systems for accuracy and log all errorsSolve problems and conduct root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non"Āconformance issuesRecommend changes for process improvements to the manufacturing and quality processParticipate in quality audits, projects, or special assignments as assignedAssist the Engineering and Quality Managers with the strategic vision of the department, develop plans for improvement, and help in executing those plansMonitor the inventory of materials, replacement parts, and equipmentEnsure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulationsMonitor, communicate, and improve KPI's, including cost reduction, DPPM, and wasteUpdate blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematics for process improvements, compliance, and simplificationQUALIFICATIONSBachelor Degree in Engineering is preferredMinimum of 3 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing setting is requiredMust be able to read and interpret blueprints, designs, drawings, and schematicsIdeal candidates will possess understanding of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing strategiesIdeal candidates will have experience with federally regulated industries such as automotive, aerospace, etc.Must have knowledge of quality standards and health & safety practices and regulationsMust be willing to learn, self-motivated, and a positive leader***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***If you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this Quality Engineer position located in Columbus, IN then please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
