PURPOSE We seek a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work in the planarization group and will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the grinding and CMP process. The ideal candidate will have experience working with grinding or CMP processes and have a good understanding of MEMS processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical support for grinding and CMP process. Support manufacturing with existing equipment and processes. Perform engineering analysis, troubleshooting/resolving issues daily in a MEMS fab environment, and daily tool health monitoring. Disposition production wafers, and parts based on working instructions. A self-starter, able to proactively learn and offer ideas for improvement. Ensure proper documentation of process instructions. Assist in technical training for operation staff. Assist in process development and optimization projects. Work is scheduled from Friday to Tuesday. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent discipline. 2+ years experience working in the MEMS or semiconductor industry with direct experience in developing and/or supporting manufacturing processes. Experience in planarization and/or metrology process development, process control, and equipment maintenance. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience in photolithography and electroplating is preferred. The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $90,500 and $118,755. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
