Job Summary: To provide therapy and therapeutic support services to clients seeking behavioral health services. The Therapist participates in multi-disciplinary team planning, clinical supervision; manages cases and assumes administrative responsibilities in conjunction with Behavioral Health Service's policies and procedures. Communication: Good oral and written communication skills are required for this position. The person in this position must be able to communicate effectively with the clients, staff, and others; and contribute to a positive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide professional psychotherapy services to clients including individual, couples, family and group therapies as assigned. Maintain minimum Expected Units (EU) as specified in contract. Demonstrates proficiency in telehealth platforms and in-person service delivery. Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate level of care, and construct treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives. Facilitate appropriate referrals to other resources/levels of care, as necessary, on behalf of the client. Follows and references departmental policy and procedure manual for carrying out professional tasks. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with contract, funder and agency requirements, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge paperwork, and assessments. When discharging a client with a substance abuse disorder, will complete follow up aftercare contact with the client no later than 7 days after discharge to monitor stability and provide additional support to unmet needs. Provide administrative support by compiling program data, preparing reports, and therapeutic/activity resource material. Coordinate care with other service providers as necessary to enhance the effectiveness of client care. Complete annual Professional Development Plan. Expand professional knowledge base of therapeutic techniques through supervision, staff in-services, and case consultations. Further, complete a minimum of 25 training hours annually in topics related to clinical growth and development as outlined on annual Professional Development Plan. Ensure demographic and service encounter data is input into Careware system in timely standards. Liaison with Billing Specialist regarding client copays and collect client payments. Be punctual and professional at all times, especially when representing the agency at off-site locations. Protect client and agency information at all times, adhering to agency Confidentiality Policy, HIPAA as well as other laws governing privacy/disclosure. Participate in clinical supervision as scheduled, attend departmental meetings as scheduled and attend monthly General Staff Meetings. Maintain credentialing with insurance companies, including CAQH. Gain proficiency in Athena EMR system and other data bases. Assist with program objectives for targeted outreach efforts. Work flexible hours, including evenings. Perform other related duties as required Education, Training, License and Certification, Skills and Experience: Master's degree from an accredited institution with a focus/major in psychology, social work, or counseling. 2-3 years post-graduate experience providing psychotherapy. Professional license active in PA (LCSW, LPC, PhD or PsyD or LMFT required). Must be culturally competent to work with groups from diverse racial, educational, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities. Knowledge of and experience with managed care/funding sources preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills. Strong oral and written communication skills; attention to detail. Strong organizational skills; and computer literacy. Ability to work independently and effectively, taking initiative, to meet deadlines. Must work well with multi-disciplinary team. Must complete mandatory trainings: CPR, First Aid, Narcan, HIV, Confidentiality, TB/STI. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Clearances: Background checks are required, including Criminal Background Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance. Physical Requirements: 1. The ability to sit for extended periods of time. 2. The ability to communicate using written and spoken words. 3. Must demonstrate visual and auditory acuity.
