Animal Technician

Part Time Staff - Animal Facility Responsibilities: • Animal care and husbandry functions under the supervision of senior staff. • Daily duties related to animal health, observations, cage check. • Cage cleaning, cage wash, preparation of clean cages and autoclaving. • Monitoring and recording temperature and humidity. • Receiving rodents, establishing new cages with cage cards. • Maintaining supply of PPE items, notification to obtain new supplies. • Interaction with senior staff of daily activities and ability to follow assigned duties. Qualifications: Prior experience working with lab animals preferred Education/prior training - High school diploma Weekend and holiday work will be required More responsibilities can be added In-house training will be provided. Proven dependability and integrity are essential Will support professional certification (AAALAS)
