Project Engineer - HVAC Brian Cox Mechanical is seeking a motivated, detail oriented, Project Engineer who is a team player and can assist our project managers in the day to day management of their projects. Candidate has potential to become Project Manager over time. Pay range: $65k - $90k a year Job description Project Engineer (PE) The PE role is to assist to identify and protect the risk of the project. Our Project Engineers are an integral part of the team being successful on a project. They are involved in the day to day operations of a project and must be organized and able to clearly communicate with other employees and customers. They are a key part of the team! Responsibilities include: Equipment & material submittals (Review product data against Plans & Specifications, submission, tracking, printing & distribution) Procurement (Purchase Orders, tracking, delivery coordination, warranty issues) Learn and understand budget and the cost of the project Subcontracts (Administration of subcontract documents & scope of work to our subcontractors; Execution and coordination of deliverables and work) Requests for Information (Prepare, submit, follow up and maintain RFI logs) Document Control and Job File Maintenance (Update and maintain all sets of Drawings, Schedules, Specifications, Logs, project specific information, etc. and distribute as necessary) Project Closeout Packages (Collect and compile Manuals, Warranty Letters, As-Builts, Start Up and Testing Docs; print and submit) Prepare and distribute accurate correspondence, reports, etc. Consolidate meeting notes/minutes from multiple sources to one document Maintain archive information Follow up on requested items from outside sources Change order pricing - gather pertinent information for PM approval and assist in the process Print tool list for PM's and Foreman meeting (back up) Candidate must be very skilled at preparing and managing day-to-day construction documentation, logs, tracking and following up. The ideal candidate is driven, self-motivated, and excels in an agile and dynamic environment, is dependable and has good attendance. Skills and Knowledge: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 3 years of construction knowledge (preferably HVAC) Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Adobe X (or higher). Bluebeam Revu 2019 knowledge a plus. Excellent oral, written and visual communication skills are essential. Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
