The General Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Construction and is primarily responsible for the company's field operations. This role leads a team of Superintendents to ensure that company policies and procedures are met regarding safety, scheduling, and quality. The position requires 20-25% travel.General Responsibilities:Uphold and represent all company values and ethics. Maintain a high degree of integrity and loyalty toward the company and clients.Ensure safety standards per company policiesprocedures are followed and ensure OSHA standards are implemented on job sites.Manage field operations, directing Superintendents, ensuring project safety, and assigning the proper Superintendent to specific project municate issues, performance, and progress of personnel to company Executives.Report problemsissues promptly to Project Management Teams to help facilitate effective solutions.Establish effective working relationships with Superintendents, Project Management Teams, Executives, and Clients.Develop a high-performing team of Superintendents through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.Schedule and coordinate Superintendent assignments.Implement and oversee training of Superintendents and the company safety program.Observe and promote all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the company.Assist Human Resources with hiring qualified candidates, performing Superintendent yearly reviews, and any necessary disciplinary actions.Daily Weekly Responsibilities:Attend and contribute to staff meetings.Conduct weekly site visits to local and out-of-town projects.Maintain and update the Superintendent Manifest.Provide Superintendent staffing needs to the Director of Construction and Human Resources.Participate in interviews and hiring of new Superintendents.Discipline or terminate Superintendents as needed.Conduct annual Superintendent performance reviews and implement 306090-day goals as needed.Review Plan Grid daily to identify potential issues, address quality control, and assure construction schedules are maintained.Support Project Management Teams with Superintendent and subcontractor issues and delays.Conduct final punch lists on an as-needed basis.Ensure Superintendents are held accountable for daily and weekly project updates, transparent communication with Project Management Teams, maintaining construction schedules, and quality control.Qualifications:Maintain an in-depth knowledge of construction standards and best practices, including knowledge of both site and vertical construction means and methods.Possess the ability to problem-solve and determine solutions for project-specific requirements.Detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess methodical thought processing.Proven track record of effective verbal and written communication skills and experience in team-oriented environments.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and job reporting software.Ability to travel as needed to job sites across the country (licensed in 48 states).OSHA 30 Required
