Our client, a chemical manufacturer in the automotive industry, is seeking an experienced Production Planner that will work with production on inventory and production planning and schedule production and shipping. Production Planner Responsibilities:Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize operational efficiencyWork closely with production facility and centralized planning team to align production plans with overall company objectivesImplement and execute inventory strategies to achieve optimal levels, balancing between customer service goals and cost objectivesMonitor and manage inventory days on hand, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsClear and process any system errors generated by production that may cause delays in shipments in a timely mannerEnsure customer on-time service levels exceed 95% through effective production planning and coordinationAddress any customer-related concerns or inquiries promptlyOptimize production capacity utilization while considering storage constraintsCollaborate with operations to identify and address capacity challenges proactivelyMaintain regular communication with operations, customer support, warehousing, purchasing departments and on-site teams to ensure smooth production operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address scheduling adherence issues and implement root cause corrective actionsUtilize and maintain ERP planning systems, with a preference for experience in SAP, to ensure accurate and up-to-date production dataImplement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data management processesApply lean six sigma principles to identify opportunities for process improvement within the production planning and inventory management functions Packaging Engineer Requirements:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field1+ years of experience in production planning or a related role within the supply chainProficient in Microsoft Suite and experience with ERP planning systems, with SAP preferredStrong analytical skills with the ability to work in a complex and dynamic environmentLean Six Sigma certification or experience is preferredExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing priorities If you are interested in this role, please apply today!
