Harlem-based real estate ownermanager is looking for a Recertification & Compliance Supervisor with experience managing the HUDSection 8Tax Credit recertification process, preferably fluent in Spanish.ResponsibilitiesManage department of six responsible for annual recertifications for 2,000 affordable housing units.Perform compliance tasks, including processing resident certifications, monthly voucher preparation, repayment agreement generation, waiting list applicant processing, and compliance reporting.Verifymonitor to ensure properties are in compliance with applicable Affordable Housing Program rules and regulations.Staying current on all HUD updates and program requirements. This will include attending periodic compliance trainingwebinars.Respond to compliance-related questions from management.Implement file audit procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agreements for affordable projects.Verifying compliance with Fair Housing standards and management policies and procedures.Work with Director of Compliance to develop and execute action plans for non-compliant properties, including corrective action plans based on internalexternal audits. and Property Management team to develop action plans for non-compliant properties, including corrective action plans based on internalexternal audits.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree preferred. Current compliance certifications for HUD and tax credit preferred.Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in nationalmulti-regional Property management, asset management, or affordable housing regulatory organizationagency, with at least two years in a management capacity.Must possess knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, andor other affordable housing programs.Experience in the use of property managementcompliance monitoring software preferred.SkillsReadinterpret complex documents, such as regulatory agreements and compliance regulations.Work as an effective team member, and in a collaborative manner with staff, peers, and terpret and understand tenant file municate clearly both verbally and in writing, including the ability to provide technical assistance on complex compliance issues in layman's terms.Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred
