Responsible for the directing the activities of all Valet Associates on assigned shift in accordance with established company policies, procedures and controls. Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to... Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures. Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution. Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation. Provides impeccable guest service to all guests. Plans and directs the daily operations of the Valet Department in the absence of a management on assigned shift. Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Valet Department on assigned shift, by training, scheduling, evaluating, Associates, as needed. Observes activities and procedures of Valet Associates, to ensure smooth and efficient operation of assigned shift. Operates, parks and retrieves customer vehicles in a safe manner, as needed. Oversees the cost-efficiency, staffing and uniform standards of Valet Associates on assigned shift. Ensures that the work areas for Valet Associates are kept clean, neat and well stocked with necessary supplies. Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. Motivates Valet Associates on assigned shift consistently. Leads by setting a positive example to all associates. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Gaming property - Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED is preferred. Six (6) months Valet experience is required. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record -two (2) or less moving violations within a 12 month period. Must be able to drive automatic and standard shift vehicle. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to talk or hear. Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: regularly required to lift, push, pull, and carry luggage and other guest items must be able to maneuver large luggage up to seventy (70) pounds as well as load and unload wheelchairs, motorized carts and other similar equipment as needed. Must be able to stand and/or walk approximately 100% of assigned shift. WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Must be physically fit and able to repeatedly jog to and from the Valet parking lot for duration of shift. This position is required to work in outside weather conditions and may perform responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces as well as exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
