Acute Surgical Technician CVOR (Sign on bonus available for 1 yr commitment) Location - Central Washington Category - Allied Health Department - Operating Room Shift - Day/Evening Daily Hours - 12hr shifts Schedule - Full-Time Min Salary - USD $24.99/Hr Max Salary - USD $ 40.23/Hr Are you a dedicated and experienced Surgical Tech (CVOR) seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are currently seeking a skilled Surgical technician to join our dynamic surgical services team. This opportunity is located in the heart of Washington. Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN Standards and Hospital policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Performs all duties outlined in the Certified Surgical Technologist job description and the attached surgical procedure list for entry level, proficient, and expert practitioners. Proficient in surgical procedures in a variety of services: Demonstrates knowledge of the various surgical equipment and surgical instrumentation. Performs in the preceptor role in the training of students, new and current staff members to ensure success-in conjunction with the Clinical Manager. Provide patient care applying aseptic technique Maintains a clean, neat, efficient and safe environment for patients and staff.- Learn surgical procedures and subjects relating to operating room/surgical patient. Use surgical instruments and equipment and know their specific uses in procedures. Function within legal limitations and scope of practice. Recognize own limitations and seek assistance accordingly. Demonstrate knowledge of types of patient conditions. Identify structure/function of body parts and common disorders. Assist team members by setting up/maintaining sterile field; break down room following a case. Demonstrates ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology school. Current Washington State Surgical Technologist registration. National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists within one year of hire and recertification as needed. CVOR Experience May consider LPN if trained in the scrubbing role - dependent upon experience and knowledge base. Certified in CPR and recertified annually. Must possess basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication and password management
