Today's Date:04/10/23 Position Information: Kansas Job Classification Title: _ Technology Support Consultant Number of Temps needed _1_ Projected Start Date: _ 04/24/23 Estimated End Date: _ TBD Job Location:Topeka, remote work option available, looking for candidate that resides in Kansas (or Kansas City area) _ Brief Description of Job Duties: The Azure Engineer will oversee a vendor's application implementation in a private cloud, ensuring adherence to security compliance and spending policies. The engineer will deploy and manage Azure resources, configure and monitor networks, and conduct security audits and risk assessments to ensure the smooth and secure operation of the vendor's application. Microsoft Azure skills/job duties: Azure Skills: Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Experience in deploying and configuring Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) Knowledge of Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs) Understanding of Azure Load Balancers and Traffic Manager Experience in configuring and managing Azure Storage and Azure Backup Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AD), Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD Domain Services Knowledge of Azure Site Recovery and Azure Monitoring and Alerting Understanding of Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Azure CLI Azure Security Skills: Familiarity with Azure Cost Management and Azure billing Understanding of Azure role-based access control (RBAC) and Azure Resource Policies Knowledge of Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Log Analytics for monitoring security compliance Experience in managing Azure Security Group and Network Security Group (NSG) rules to ensure compliance Understanding of security best practices such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access, and identity protection Experience in conducting security audits and risk assessments Networking Skills: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, and other network protocols Experience in configuring and managing firewalls, routers, and switches Knowledge of VPNs, WANs, LANs, and DMZs Understanding of network security best practices and compliance standards such as HIP nd IRS Pub 1075 Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds Experience in troubleshooting network issues and optimizing network performance Experience required: 3-5 years Education required: Bachelor's degree or 5 years of IT experience Physical requirements (lifting, repetitive motion, etc.): Lift 50 lbs.
