In close conjunction with other departments of the CSU Health Network, we strive to ensure our students receive optimal healthcare in a fast, friendly, and professional environment. The Pharmacy provides services between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, providing attractive work schedules for staff. Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient and pharmacy records in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures. Pharmacy Technician activities are performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, 12 months a year. The Pharmacy Technician reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager. Required Job Qualifications Certifications Current, valid certification or provisional certification as a Pharmacy Technician from the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board ( PTCB ) Experience Three years of experience labeling, storing, and filling medications in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting Substitutions Completion of 500 hours of pharmacy technician training may substitute for one year of experience.
