Anesthesia Technician

Summary While performing duties related to St. Clair Health, this position is responsible for assisting with the anesthetic care under the direction of an Anesthesiologist and/or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Two years of experience as an anesthesia technician and a high school diploma or equivalent; or graduation from a two-year program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT); or certification as an Anesthesia Technician (CAT) by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT). If not certified at time of hire, must be certified within two years of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; candidates for the position without BLS certification must attain certification within one month of date of hire. Preferred Qualifications One year of experience in an Operating Room setting. Certification as an Anesthesia Technician (CAT) by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
