AS A CINí‰POLIS TEAM MEMBER, YOU ARE WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO US! • Be the protagonist of your own story by starting your career with Cinépolis • Learn key knowledge of the cinema exhibition industry • Use your skills to progress your career in film and cinema JOB DESCRIPTION JOB CODE: REG DATE: March 2021 FLSA STATUS: Hourly TITLE: Regional Technology Specialist DEPARMENT: IT LOCATION: Dayton OH SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITY None REPORTS TO: IT Operations Manager JOB SUMMARY The Regional Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Projection, Sound, AV and IT systems for theaters (including, but not limited to projectors, sound processors and speakers, ISP, network, point of sale equipment, servers, computers, VoIP, digital signage, TVs, monitors and kiosks), working with a team of theater specialists. The position provides analysis and diagnostics for troubleshooting system/equipment failures, works with Corporate IT to maintain the Technology standards and its established goals, and reviews maintenance activities at the theaters to keep Projection & Sound/IT equipment in good working order. JOB DUTIES • Collaborates and receives direction from Corporate IT team to support theater technology infrastructure and ensure IT systems, Networks and Telecom services are following established methodology and quality standards. • Provides remote, and on-site, subject matter expertise to theater Management team, and Operations management in the diagnosis and resolution of critical hardware and software issues e.g., with projectors and Point of Sale solutions. • Performs periodic maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, servers, and Point of Sale systems. • Conducts installation, deployment and upgrade of software, hardware, AV, and network facilities. • Performs audits of equipment at each theater in the region and provides feedback to theater staff on proper equipment maintenance. • Provides basic training to theater managers or new technicians to facilitate trouble shooting and maintenance. • Comply with all reports, information, administrative tasks for the department and/or company. • Other duties assigned by the company as needed. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE • Bachelor of Science in a computer/technology-related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience. • Experience in networking, Windows & Microsoft Office Suite Support, and hardware installation. • Experience in trouble shooting network issues, network testing, tracing, and installing network cables, etc. and high-level ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment. • Minimum of 2-year experience in technical support for a mid-size organization with a technical degree or certification preferably CompTIA A+, Network+. • Familiarity with Point of Sales software is a plus and 2+ years of projection experience preferred. • Able to travel domestically and regionally up to 75% of time. • This position requires a valid, state-issued driver's license and vehicle for use. • Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Spanish language skills a plus SKILLS • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented and ability to follow established protocols and processes. • Network (LAN/WAN/TCPIP) troubleshooting and diagnostics skills, knowledge of basic networking principles including wireless. • Low voltage wiring installation, terminations, equipment rack wiring. • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines; solve problems requiring creativity, initiative, and drive; self-motivated and enjoys a sense of pride in their accomplishments. • Service-oriented disposition with willingness to go the 'extra mile' to connect and coordinate with internal experts and third-party vendors to help with the remediation of the issue for end-user.
