Overview Neonatologist Needed For Our Level-II NICU New State-of-the-Art Wynn Hospital Block Scheduling Great Commuter Opportunity!! Responsibilities Pediatrix is offering a unique opportunity for a BC/BE neonatologist to join a flourishing practice at the brand new, state-of-the-art Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY. Private patient room Level-II NICU with approximately 200 admissions per year, an ADC of 7, and a census that can flex up to 13. With approximately 1,400 deliveries a year, the neonatology service attends 30% of deliveries. Week on / Week off schedule that affords an ideal life-work balance. Call from home or in-house call room allows for either local or remote living opportunities. Perinatology and other pediatric subspecialties are available by consult, including pediatric cardiology. ROP exams performed by retinal specialist in house. Unit is supported by neonatal trained speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists; pediatric-certified echo techs; and lactation consultants. Family medicine residents and Obstetric/gynecology residents have occasional rotations in NICU. Newborn nursery covered by pediatric hospitalists. About the Area Utica is a welcoming and diverse town in upstate New York, located on the southern edge of the Adirondack Mountains. The area offers a relatively low crime rate, excellent public and private schools, ample housing options, and a cost of living that is 20% less than the national average. There are a variety of big-city amenities available from eclectic restaurants to quaint festivals. Outdoor activities abound in the area with plentiful lakes and rivers, hiking and biking in the summer, skiing in the winter. Utica is located between two large cities, Syracuse and Albany, and is sandwiched between multiple college towns. It is an easy driving distance to attractions such as the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Lake Ontario. Qualifications Board eligible/Board certified. New grads welcome to apply. Compensation Range: $225,000 to $275,000 based on years of experience with bonus potential.
