Role Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering IV ketamine, coupled with a passion for mental health and a deep commitment to patient care. This role involves direct patient care, including the preparation and administration of IV ketamine, monitoring patients during treatment sessions, and collaborating closely with psychotherapists to provide a holistic and integrated approach to mental health treatment. Key Responsibilities : - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine suitability for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. - Prepare and administer IV ketamine in accordance with clinic protocols and standards of care. - Monitor patients closely during treatment sessions for any adverse reactions or complications, providing immediate and appropriate interventions as needed. - Collaborate with psychotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive care plan. - Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential effects of ketamine, and post-treatment care. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the clinic's ketamine program, including protocol refinement and quality improvement initiatives. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Requirements : - Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York. - Current and unrestricted DEA license in the state of New York. - Minimum of 2 years' experience administering IV medications, with specific experience in IV ketamine administration for psychotherapy purposes. - Demonstrated knowledge of mental health conditions and a holistic approach to mental health care. - Excellent patient care and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with patients. - ACLS certification required. - Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced and evolving clinical environment.
