Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ Contract Term: 12+ Months Shift/Hours: 1st Shift ( 8-9am to 4-5pm) / 40hrs Client: Medical Device Company Job Category: Engineering Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only) No H1B's This position is responsible for leading electrical engineering and system integration R&D. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the design of electronics hardware following good engineering practices and applicable standards for medical devices. It is expected that the applicant is also experienced with systems integration. The applicant should have significant experience in the design of instrumentation and front-end analog electronics, as well as A/D and digital electronics. The applicant should be very hands-on, prefer to work at the bench, and come up with innovative solutions. Desired Experience: • At least 7 years (10+ desirable) of experience as an Electrical Engineer designing both analog and digital circuitry • Low power design experience specifically in Fuel Gauge, Charger and Battery operation and power estimation with EMI/EMC • Wi-Fi and RF design and testing experience in 2.4GHz and 5GHz • Medical device experience; FDA guidelines on design and manufacturing of the medical devices. • Analog circuit design, signal conditioning, modeling • Test and analysis of complex analog circuits and mixed signal circuits • Knowledge of data collection systems • Proficiency with state of the art electrical engineering development tools is required. • Experience developing hardware products in a Phase Gated Product Development process. • Ability to work with other functions and facilitate activities from a systems integration perspective. • Expertise in development of cross-functional systems, including integration with analog/digital signal processing, electrical/electronic systems, software and optical systems. • Experience in modeling, simulations, and sensitivity analyses desired. Job Description: Electrical Engineering is responsible for designing and developing components, electronic packaging, electrical circuitry, and other systems used in finished equipment. Demonstrates advanced knowledge on making trade-offs between alternate design topologies. Working knowledge of Product Development Process. Provides advice on feasibility and risks for a product. Extends system design for existing products. Facilitates cross-functional knowledge and experiences to facilitate the understanding and resolution of single product development issues, concerns and risks. Responsible for coordination of product development. Serves as a key resource to examine system behavior issues and bring to resolution for existing products. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own job family. Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations. Works independently with minimal guidance. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
